This is one of my favorite projects I have ever worked on. It was the first-ever collector’s glass for the Sun King Brewery in Kokomo, Indiana.

The glass was inspired by an ancient Mayan legend that hummingbirds have magic healing capabilities as well as the ability to send messages from beyond this life. When the rumors spread of the hummingbird's capabilities many desired to entrap the bird for themselves. In efforts to protect the bird, the gods blessed the hummingbird with their speed to escape those who desired to capture them. The hummingbird is now believed to help people in need by changing their luck just as their luck was blessed by the gods. This glass design is meant to change the luck of the owner, just like the hummingbird's luck was. This can easily be tied to the good fortunes a glass of beer can have after a long hard day. At the bottom of this glass lies two arrows. The arrows finish off this fate-like experience. The arrows serve as a reminder that the time has come to refill the glass again and that the owner's luck can be restored.
